.com TLD Celebrates it’s 25th Birthday. The Internet is Still Young.
16 Mar

It’s crazy to think that the .com TLD (top level domain) has turned 25! Yesterday, March 15, 2010 was the 25th anniversary of the first .com being registered. Symbolics computers of Cambridge, Massachusetts entered the history books with an internet address ending in .com (however, on 27 August 2009, it was sold to XF.com Investments). Pretty crazy, it feels like the internet has been around much longer than it actually has…to see things like the .com’s 25th anniversary really gives you scope on just how new this form of communication is.
Do you remember when aol first came out? I do. It’s incredible how fast time flies by. I was curious on what the oldest domains are so I found this post. Check it out. Crazzzzzzzzzzzy.
